Midwestern Millwright is looking for an experienced welder and fabricator needed for a fast paced shop. Must have experience in TIG welding aluminum/stainless and have the ability to make custom tools and mounting brackets. Must have experience using shear, brake, plasma, and other common machinery.
Qualifications:
– MIG/TIG and stick welding
– Experienced in blue print reading
– Laser leveling
– Creativity, and good communication skills
– Someone who can work in a team environment but also works independently and has great troubleshooting ability.
– Must be able to work in a drug free and smoke free environment.
Installs machinery and equipment according to blueprints, and other drawings in the industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools: Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Qualifications:
– Move, assemble, install or dismantle machinery in factories, power plants and other industrial settings using a variety of hand and power tools including cranes and laser levels.
– May perform installation and plant maintenance work as needed.
– Must be able to work in a drug free and smoke free environment.
Midwestern Millwright is seeking a motivated individual with leadership, management and organizational skills to run our welding/machine shop.
Qualifications:
– Working Foreman-Position involves hands on participation in production process that includes welding of structural steel shapes, heavy plate, angle and channel. Both mild steel and stainless steel are used.
– Supervise Performance- Monitor all welders/fabricators and their work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, project requirements and deliveries.
– Ensure Safe Working Practices- Responsible for shop safety, compliance with safety rules, PPE and safe working procedures.
– Coordinate Activities, Schedule shop production, Manage Materials and components, Manage organize shop.
– Training- Train new employee on welding/ fabrication procedures.
– Skills- Steel fabrication and layout, welding, organizational, leadership, computer, and problem solving.
– Must be able to work in a drug free and smoke free environment.
Operate and maintain equipment within its tolerances
Must be able to read micrometers, calipers and dial indicators.
Must have excellent math skills
Perform routine basic care maintenance including inspections, cleaning, lubrication, the alignment of bearings, couplers and rotating assembles, torque bolts etc. to specs
Must be able to work plant shutdowns on production equipment to meet plant scheduling needs.
Perform vibration analysis, inspect/troubleshoot bearings, couplings and shafts for wear and promptly correct/repair the malfunction of the equipment and bring it to its expected performance.
Must be able to work in extreme environments- seeking and sharing knowledge with customers and their maintenance employees for the purposes of safety, training and customer relationship development

-Must understand Lockout Tagout Procedures
-(1) year of shaft alignment/motor to pump experience
-(2) years or more of experience in maintenance or manufacturing of industrial, agricultural or food service equipment
-Must be proficient in in Excel & Word and common computer skills
-Must be able to pass a drug screen
